Title: Weakly compact cardinals and Boolean algebras

Abstract: The kappa-chain-condition is productive for weakly compact
cardinals kappa, and for kappa=w1 under martin’s axiom. An old
question asks whether the productivity of the k-cc for k>w1 implies
that k is weakly compact. We shall report on the progress recently
made towards an affirmative answer.
