Graduate student support.
We will award several grants to graduate students traveling to our conference, sufficient to cover local expenses and defray a good part of the airfare. To apply for the travel grant, please send a brief application letter and a support letter from your advisor to firstname.lastname@example.org. Preference will be given to students willing to present a talk in the set theory special session.
The following hotels have been used by the mathematics department without major mishaps in the past:
The Lakeshore Motel, which some of you may have used in the past, fell victim to a bulldozer a couple of years ago.
You can fly to the Gainesville airport and continue to the campus by public bus (limited schedule line 25A or B), taxi, or Uber. You can also fly to other airports (Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa), rent a car and endure the 1.5-2 hour ride. Renting a car with University of Florida is cheap (USD35 a day, the pickup and destination sites do not have to match), but our secretary has to arrange it for you.
For questions regarding details of reimbursement etc. please contact our office manager Margaret Somers
