Erdős Centennial, July 1-5, 2013

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Alfréd Rényi Mathematical Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Eötvös Loránd University and the János Bolyai Mathematical Society announce that a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Paul Erdős will be held in Budapest, Hungary, July 1-5, 2013.

The topics of the conference include all basic fields that Paul Erdős contributed to: Number Theory, Analysis, Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Set Theory, among others.

The emphasis will be on the recent developments in these areas, initiated or inspired by his mathematical legacy.


There will only be invited talks given by outstanding mathematicians whose work is related to Erdős. Plenary speakers who have already accepted our invitation include:
