Abstract: The study of Axiom of Determinacy started around 1960s. It is a regularity property asserting that all two players games on integers of perfect information are determined. It has been used to settle many classical questions from analysis. However, whether the axiom itself is true or not remained a mystery until 1980s. In this talk, we will explore what has been done using determinacy and how eventually it has been integrated into mainstream set theory.
