Title: Packing Hedgehogs densely into l_2 to give a trivial G-compactification
Abstract: In the early 80s Smirnov asked if every regular G-space admits an equivariant G-compactification. In 1988 Megrelishvili exhibited a G-space that does not (essentially the metrizable hedgehog with a nice group action). His example still leaves open the larger question of if a regular G-space can have a *trivial* G-compactification. In joint work with Pestov and Bartosova, we will give such an example by finding many copies of the metrizable hedgehog inside l_2.
