Born 24 January 1946. Menachem Magidor is a professor of mathematics at the Einstein Institute of Mathematics who specializes in mathematical logic, in particular set theory.
He received his Ph.D. in 1973 from the Hebrew University.
19871989: Chair, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, Hebrew university of Jerusalem.
19921996: Dean of Science, Hebrew university of Jerusalem.
19972009: President, Hebrew university of Jerusalem.
Magidor has 3 publications in Annals of Mathematics, 1 in Acta Mathematica, and 1 in Journal of the AMS.
Recent awards: Humboldt Prize; Elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
