Title: “Mysteries of the Generic Multiverse”

Abstract: In retrospect, much of my recent research can be viewed as
centering around the structure of the generic multiverse. In this
talk, I am going to give an overview of some topics, such as
maximality principles, the automorphism tower problem and
set-theoretic geology. There are many fundamental open questions
arising from a downward perspective of forcing, towards ground models
instead of forcing extensions. One major natural question in this area
is whether the ground models of a given model have to be downward
directed.
